9/11

Another 9/11 in the city... The Ninth to be exact.

Well it never really gets easier, in fact, complete understanding of the events that transpired just under a decade ago still escape me. It certainly was the single most significant day of my life and probably one of the biggest turning points for this country and maybe even the world.

Nowadays I just do as the rest of my city does. I work, I live, I love, I go about my daily business until early September, then my mind is overwhelmed with memories and questions. How the world was and How it is now. How has America changed? How have I changed? How will the world continue to change as my life goes on and after life goes on without me. This early Autumn era seems to be a bit more existential in the post 9/11 era.

It's almost like every September 11th is another notch on the belt, saying you have made it another year, that you are one year older and stronger .

You and me both America.

Exhausted

I'm not sure what the deal is, but I have slept for like 75% of the new year so far. I've basically been living in a puddle of sleep-drool for the past 2 days. Hopefully a nice cup of coffee tomorrow will fix that all up.
